DIFFERENT SEED DIFFERENT LIFE
Do not be deceived: God cannot be mocked.
A man reaps what he sows. Galatians 6:7
Do you know someone who always seems to be blessed by God? Someone who is always happy - never seems to have a care in the world, every time you see them, they're smiling. While you’re happy for them, you are still struggling with feeling unhappy, unsatisfied, unhealthy or even unfulfilled. Do you ever wonder why, how? Do they possess the key to happiness - a key which you have not yet discovered?
The answer may be a simple one. Perhaps the person you are observing is doing one simple thing that you are not. Perhaps the difference between them and you, their life and yours, is simply the seeds that have been sown. Seedtime and harvest is one of God’s spiritual laws. Just like natural or scientific laws (think of gravity), spiritual laws are a set of rules that always stay the same, and apply to everyone, all the time. Galatians 6:7 tells us that God cannot be mocked and that we will reap what we sow. God cannot be mocked means we cannot fool or deceive God. God knows the seeds we have sown and the harvest that will be produced. We may fool other people or sometimes we may even fool ourselves, but we CANNOT fool God.
When we look at our lives we can now understand that our present is a result of our past seed sown and our future will be a result of the seeds we are sowing now. We also want to consider the nature of the harvest God returns back to us. If we plant a single kernel of corn we know the kernel of corn will produce a harvest of corn - meaning it will produce after its own kind. However, our harvest does not return to us another single kernel of corn. The single kernel produces a corn stalk with multiple ears of corn and hundreds of kernels. It is similar when planting an apple seed. One apple seed produces one apple tree and that apple tree produces many apples which also contain many seeds. The apple tree usually continues to grow and continues to produce apples for many years. This shows us that God does not simply return back to us exactly what we sow, God multiplies our seed and returns an abundant harvest back to us.
When we consider our lives and we see things we do not like or desire we can choose to change and we can do it RIGHT NOW. We do not have to wait. One thing we can do immediately is begin to sow different seeds. Here are some examples of how sowing different seeds can produce a different harvest and ultimately a different life.
THE SEEDS YOU SOW TODAY CREATE YOUR TOMORROW
If you want to be LOVED LOVE OTHERS
If you want RESPECT RESPECT OTHERS
If you desire GRACE BE GRACIOUS
If you need MERCY BE MERCIFUL
If you require MONEY GIVE GENEROUSLY
If you want KINDNESS EXTEND KINDNESS
If you want others to LISTEN BECOME A GOOD LISTENER
If you want a NEW JOB LEARN A NEW SKILL
IF YOU WANT A DIFFERENT LIFE SOW DIFFERENT SEED!
